ManaSift (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the ManaSift platform at manasift.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization name. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk, under their own privacy policy.
Resume and Candidate Data
When you or applicants upload resumes, we process the document to extract structured information (name, skills, experience, education). This data is stored in your organization’s account and is only accessible by members of your organization.
AI Processing
Resumes are processed using Anthropic’s Claude AI models for parsing and scoring. Resume content is sent to Anthropic’s API for processing but is not used to train their models. Anthropic’s data handling is governed by their commercial API terms.
Usage Data
We collect standard usage data including page views, feature usage, IP addresses, browser type, and device information to improve our service.
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe’s handling of payment data is governed by their privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the ManaSift platform
- To process and score resumes using AI
- To manage your account and subscription
- To send transactional emails (welcome, score notifications, billing)
- To improve our service and develop new features
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your data. We share information only with:
- Anthropic — for AI resume processing (governed by their commercial API terms)
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Clerk — for authentication
- Vercel — for hosting infrastructure
- Neon — for database hosting
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Candidate data is retained within your organization’s account until you delete it. When you delete your account, we delete all associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Organization-scoped data isolation (multi-tenant architecture)
- Authentication and role-based access controls
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
